Put Lui in the Slack channel where the work already happens.
Your team's #warehouse, or the shared channel a client already messages you in. Lui reads it, answers in it, posts the morning's alerts and the pick list as a file, and brings a photo someone posted into an order. A 3PL connects one workspace per client, so a client's channel stays that client's.
Google or an email address. $20 of usage free, no card.
A Slack channel your team or a client already uses; Lui reads it, answers there and posts alerts and files.
Ask in the channel
Stock, an order's status, what is due today. Asked in the channel, answered in the channel, from the same tools Lui has in the chat.
A photo becomes orders
A packing slip or a handwritten list photographed into the channel is read and entered, shown to you first. Read how it works →
Alerts where people look
A rule posts to the channel instead of an inbox: a late order, a low stock line, a payment that cleared. Read how it works →
One channel per client
Connect a client's own workspace with one Allow from them, tied to that client in your warehouse system.
The same steps sit on your Settings page.
Create your account, open Settings, and the Slack card walks you through them one screen at a time, with a Help me button beside it. Lui can also talk you through them in the chat.
Connect → pick the workspace at the top right of Slack's page → Allow. A workspace admin may have to approve the app first.
In Slack, open the channel Lui should read and type
/invite @Lui. A public channel can also be joined from the chat ("join #orders").For a client's workspace: Add for a client, pick the client, and send them the link; they press Allow on their own workspace.
Questions about connecting Slack
What does it need from Slack?
One Allow from a workspace admin on the install page, then /invite @Lui in the channel it should read. No key to paste.
Does Lui read every channel?
Only the channels it has been added to. A private channel needs someone in it to add the bot. Nothing from a channel is shown to anyone outside your organization.
Can a client install it on their own Slack?
Yes. Pick the client on Settings and send them a link; they press Allow on their workspace and the connection lands under that client.
What does Lui store?
The credentials you gave it, encrypted, and a working copy of what the system reports so questions come back fast. Nothing is used to train a model and nothing is shown to another customer.
How do I disconnect it?
From Settings, with one click on the card, or by asking Lui in the chat. The stored keys or tokens are deleted when you do.
