Integration
Shopify

Connect a Shopify store and Lui works its orders and products.

A brand connects its own store. A 3PL connects a client's store and Lui links its orders to that client in the warehouse system; several client stores can be connected, each to its own client. Orders arrive the moment they are placed, the ones the warehouse rejected get fixed, and the missing SKUs get created. Senderoo, a 3PL in Texas, turned four hours of rejected orders into ten minutes this way.

What Lui does in Shopify

Your store: orders, products, inventory; orders arrive the moment they are placed.

Fix what the warehouse rejected

A product is in Shopify but not in the warehouse system, so the order bounces. Lui finds them, creates the SKUs and pushes the orders through. Read how it works →

Answer what sold

Which sizes and colours sold last week, what is on hand, what to reorder. Answered from your Shopify history with the working shown. Read how it works →

Create and update products

New SKUs set up from a sheet or a message, with the fields your store needs. Inventory read and adjusted where you allow it.

Watch the store on a schedule

New products checked against the warehouse every Friday, orders over a line flagged every morning. You describe the check once. Read how it works →

How to connect

The same steps sit on your Settings page.

Create your account, open Settings, and the Shopify card walks you through them one screen at a time, with a Help me button beside it. Lui can also talk you through them in the chat.

  1. Go to dev.shopify.com/dashboard → Apps → Create app.

  2. App name: LogisticsUI. App URL: https://logisticsui.com/settings (where Shopify sends you after the install). Untick Embed app in Shopify admin.

  3. Scopes: paste read_orders, write_orders, read_products, write_products, read_inventory, write_inventory, read_locations, read_customers. Click Create app.

  4. On the app's Overview click Install app, pick your store, Install. You land back on the Overview.

  5. On the same Overview, the Credentials card: copy the Client ID and the Client secret (the copy icons).

  6. Your store address is your something.myshopify.com. Older custom app (made in the admin before 2026): paste its Admin API access token (shpat_…) as well.

Orders older than 60 days need read_all_orders, which Shopify grants on request (Overview → API access requests → Read all orders); add the scope in a new version once approved.

“I'm in LogisticsUI as often as I'm in our WMS.”

“I asked it to set up a weekly alert. Every Friday at 7am it checks Shopify for new SKUs, cross-references the WMS, and emails me the activity. Oh my goodness, I don't even have to remember to do that.”

FAQ

Questions about connecting Shopify

What does it need from Shopify?

A custom app on the store with the read and write scopes for orders, products, inventory, locations and customers. The steps on this page and on Settings walk through creating it; it takes a few minutes. For a client's store, the client creates the app on their own store and gives you the three values.

I'm a 3PL with several clients on Shopify. How does that work?

Each client's store is connected on its own and linked to that client in your warehouse system, so an order from their store becomes an order for them in your warehouse. The first store connects from Settings; for the next ones, message us from the chat and we add them to your account.

Can Lui see orders older than 60 days?

Only once Shopify grants the read_all_orders scope, which it does on request from the app's page. Until then Lui sees the last 60 days.

What does Lui store?

The credentials you gave it, encrypted, and a working copy of what the system reports so questions come back fast. Nothing is used to train a model and nothing is shown to another customer.

How do I disconnect it?

From Settings, with one click on the card, or by asking Lui in the chat. The stored keys or tokens are deleted when you do.
