Create your account, open Settings, and the RAM Tracking card walks you through them one screen at a time, with a Help me button beside it. Lui can also talk you through them in the chat.
Log in to RAM Tracking, click the profile icon (top right) and choose Get API Key, then click Get API Key. RAM shows four values: client ID, client secret, API username and API password.
Paste the four values here.
Once connected, the card shows a webhook address and a security key for RAM's Webhooks screen, so arrivals, stops and idling reach Lui as they happen.
Questions about connecting RAM Tracking
What does it need from RAM Tracking?
Four values from your RAM portal: click the profile icon, choose Get API Key, and RAM shows a client ID, client secret, API username and API password. You paste them on Settings and Lui checks them with one call before keeping them.
How do arrivals and stops reach Lui as they happen?
RAM sends them to a webhook. Once you connect, the RAM Tracking card on Settings shows an address and a security key; paste both into the Webhooks screen in RAM and tick the events you want. Until then, Lui reads RAM when you ask.
Where do the payroll hours come from?
From the trucks: each vehicle's first ignition on and last ignition off every day, with the driver RAM had on it. Clock-on records from the RAM driver app are not in RAM's API, so if your drivers clock on there, that record stays in RAM and Lui's hours are the driving day to check it against.
Does Lui change anything in RAM?
Two things, and only after you approve: it makes or removes a live-share map link, and it allocates a driver to a vehicle. It never switches a tracker off.
Is there a limit on how often Lui can ask?
RAM allows three API calls a minute for each kind of request, so Lui reads the whole fleet in one call and one vehicle's history at a time. The webhook events have no limit.
What does Lui store?
The credentials you gave it, encrypted, and a working copy of what the system reports so questions come back fast. Nothing is used to train a model and nothing is shown to another customer.
How do I disconnect it?
From Settings, with one click on the card, or by asking Lui in the chat. The stored keys or tokens are deleted when you do.
